It's the sunset that almost wasn't. At first glance, there was nothing special about the evening sky, and after taking a drive to the park at Lake Monona, Wisconsin, it was even more evident that there would be nothing to write home about. But, persistence paid! This color and pattern came completely by surprise over the Madison skyline.
