The "Shake the Lake" fireworks display in Madison, Wisconsin is the biggest such event in the state. Above and beyond the oohs and aahs from the pretty colors, it is great fun getting together with other photographers -- professional and ameteur -- to enjoy the night of festivities and camaraderie. This close-up photograph was taken from the opposite side of the actual event, where onlookers enjoyed the view above Lake Monona.
